Advice to Baruch College

I would recommend that the school get a Facebook page so that people can like it and receive informational posts that they might see on their page. They should also link their other media outlets to it, such as a Twitter account. Baruch can open a MySpace page and promote its music program. I would suggest an online social media management tool such as Engagor, which would allow you to look at all your social media outlets and schedule posts in advance.  Any event going on at the school would be showcased on the media page and any upcoming events would also be highlighted. I would recommend a strong recruiting campaign done through social media to maximize their exposure.

  1. I had a very similar perspective as you on the whole Facebook aspect. I also believe that Baruch should start incorportaing Facebook into their system for a more functional and efficent way of relaying information. Facebook would also allow more students to get involved.

  2. I was really surprised to learn that there are no Twitter or Facebook accounts for the school. I agree with your thought that it will be very beneficial, and also think it can increase the ability to answer students questions and reduce waiting times around the offices and on phone lines

  3. I think you have a really great idea.
About Facebook they would have to take into consideration that not every student has it so they will have to come up with something that everybody has.

  4. I second the idea with compiling all the information and future events Baruch has to offer! Bringing everyone together through social media would really have Baruch stand out as a school that emphasizes unity and an active student body.
